A person I hold dear to my heart was diagnosed with autism when she was just 3 years old. It was heart-wrenching to witness the challenges that her parents had to overcome in order to secure the necessary assistance for her. Despite living on the other side of the country, I yearned to contribute in some way.

This led me to establish Be Involved * Act Now * Champion Autism in July 2011, with the sole purpose of supporting families in San Diego with children who face similar struggles.

Be Involved * Act Now * Champion Autism serves as a vital link for families dealing with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing essential services that promote each child’s development and empowering them to reach their fullest potential. We work hard to alleviate the uphill battle that families encounter when a child is diagnosed with ASD.

Through dynamic collaborations with individuals, businesses, and other non-profit organizations, we deliver effective support systems to children with ASD and their families, enhancing the overall quality of life for the entire family unit, not solely focused on the child with autism.

What makes us different is that we focus on the families, not just the child with ASD.

Our signature program, reAACts (Reliable Engaging Augmentative & Alternative Communication Trainings), empowers parents/caregivers to be their child’s best advocate while helping nonverbal kids to find their voice.

reAACts mission is to ensure that individuals with autism have access to effective communication tools and strategies, enabling them to express themselves, build connections, and participate fully in society.
