Our Mission is Autism Financial Support

BIANCA provides the resources struggling families with autistic children need.

When founder Allison Whitney Schnepper’s niece, Bianca, was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, she saw the struggles her family endured to get her the help she needed. Determined to help, a foundation was created in her niece’s name in 2011 called Be Involved. Act Now. Champion Autism. Autism family support is critical, which is why our non-profit organization was made to administer scholarships for autistic children in the San Diego, CA, area and beyond. Our goal is to be a leading source for autism financial support in the local community.

We want to provide funds for physical, psychological and occupational therapy for families with autistic children. Studies have shown that early intervention is the key for individuals with autism. Unfortunately, only a few proven treatments are covered by medical insurance. We believe that every family with a child on the spectrum deserves autism support and we strive to provide services that are available to all, despite a family’s financial situation.

How We Provide Autism Support

Champion Autism works tirelessly to create beneficial relationships with national, state and local agencies to increase the availability of programs tailored for children with autism. Our goal is to gather enough funds to provide scholarships for autism treatments to the families who need it most. The programs we offer fall into two categories:

  • Access to Care Program (ATC). ATC provides financial aid to families in San Diego, CA, who couldn’t otherwise afford to pay for programs they need. This is given in the form of scholarships for autism, allowing families to use services imperative to the treatment of their autistic children. Autism family support allows access to psychologists, occupational and behavioral therapists, speech language pathologists, and much more.
  • Allay Autism Program (AAP). AAP allows families to participate in programs otherwise not open to them, due to the necessary precautions needed to ensure their children’s safety.

We also administer free early intervention screenings for preschool-aged children. This unique program identifies preschoolers with language or motor delays, giving families the opportunity to get treatment as early as possible.

Get Involved with Fundraising

While providing autism financial support is a huge help, it isn’t the only way you can help our cause. We organize an array of fundraisers and activities throughout the year to raise awareness for autism. One of our most popular ways to raise funds is by fundraising through recycling, which requires donors to bring in lightly used office supplies. This type of autism family support allows autistic students across San Diego to have much needed school supplies.

We’ve also teamed up with the coupon website goodsearch.com to donate a portion of every search and click to autism awareness. While goodsearch.com is similar to other search engines, it allows you to both access great coupons and donate to a cause you believe in. This way you can do your part to provide scholarships for autism therapies and other education.
